Bio

Mark Landefeld has 25 years of college coaching experience - a career that includes multiple CCCAA state championship titles. 

In soccer, he earned Coach of the Year honors and a CCS Championship at Monta Vista High School with the boys’ program, while also coaching both Girls’ and Boys’ teams in the Olympic Development Program. Landefeld served as an assistant coach with the Stanford University men's team, and directed operations for Stanford women’s program.

During his time assisting De Anza head coach Kulwant Singh, with both the men and women, each program earned a State Championship. Subsequently, Landefeld has served been head men’s coach at Cabrillo College and later at De Anza, where his teams earned playoff berths and two Coast Conference championships.

In addition, Landefeld has served as De Anza badminton head coach since 2009. Under his leadership, the program has captured four CCCAA championships - including consecutive perfect seasons twice: 2103-2014 and 2022-2023. The Lions have a current string of 34 straight wins.

For the last 10 years, Landefeld has been Director of Coaching for Almaden Football Club and most recently for the South San Jose/MVLA-SJ partnership.
