Undefeated Teams Meet In Early Season Match

The De Anza College badminton team will face its first road test of the season on Friday at Fresno City College.

The Mountain Lions (4-0 overall, 2-0 in Coast) and the Rams (2-0, 0-0) are scheduled to start singles matches at 3 p.m.

While both teams met in the State Preview on March 1 at De Anza, this Coast Conference match will count in the standings - and might place the winner as NorCal favorites.

"Friday will be a pretty intense day for us," said DA head coach Mark Landefeld.

"Fresno is one of the toughest places to play. It's the first time traveling there for our freshmen and the first time playing on their court. A lot of variables can give the winner early control of the North race."
