Lions Seek Back-To-Back State Titles

SAN DIEGO - The De Anza College badminton team will ride a 33-match winning streak into Thursday's 3C2A state championship match against Southern California power Pasadena City College.

The Lions (13-0) and the Lancers (10-2) will square-off at 5 p.m. in the San Diego City College gymnasium. While De Anza handed PCC its only two losses on the season, the Lions aren't taking anything for granted. Pasadena, winners of two state titles (2017 and 2018), are capable of pulling off an upset.

DA head coach Mark Landefeld is seeking state championship No. 4, as he guided the program to crowns in 2013, 2014 and 2022.

Live updates will be posted on the DA athletics Twitter account.
