Lions Capture MPC Invitational

The De Anza College men's cross country team won the 2023 Monterey Peninsula Invitational at Palo Corona Regional Park on Sept. 16.

The Lions (29 points) outscored Hartnell (37) and host MPC (72).

The team was led by sophomore Antoine Moret (20:41.4) with his second place overall finish in the 4-Mile event.

The DA women's team improved overall marks in the 5K and finished 3rd in the meet; led by Jacky Velasquez (20:56.8) in 4th place.

Up Next: De Anza will compete in the George Brooks Memorial Invitational at Hidden Valley Park on Sept. 22.
