Undefeated Lions Return Home

After three straight road games, the De Anza College Mountain Lions (5-0) return to their home field on Saturday, hosting Yuba College at 1 p.m.

Since a 36-9 home win against Cabrillo College back on Sept. 14, the Lions have navigated road trips up and down Northern California to remain perfect at the halfway mark.

Coming off the Bye Week, De Anza looks to continue the momentum against the 49ers (0-5). The game will be available via livestream only at https://team1sports.com/deanza/

The Lions offense is led by sophomore QB Antevious Jackson (5-10, 180, Woodbridge, VA), who leads the state in passing efficiency (193.1) and completion percentage (74.7). Jackson is tied for the state lead in touchdown passes (17) and ranks second in passing yards per game (305.4). 

He also leads the team in rushing yards (41.8 ypg) and rushing scores (4).

Jackson has plenty of playmakers on the state's No. 3 scoring offense (43.2 ppg). 

Freshman WR Akeem Wright (5-10, 180, Woodbridge) is tied for the PAC-7 lead with six TD receptions and his 91.6 ypg ranks third.

Sophomore WR Devin Dawkins (5-9, 185, Howard) ranks third in the PAC-7 with four TD grabs and his 84.6 ypg ranks fifth.

Freshman WR Jadhari Young (6-1, 190, Colonial Forge) averages 46.6 ypg and has three TDs; while sophomore WR Elisha Evans-Murray (6-1, 185, Fountain Fort Carson) averages 34.4 ypg and has one TD as well.

De Anza's defense ranks fourth in the state - allowing an average of 13.2 points per game. The Lions have allowed the fewest passing yards (117.2 ypg) in all of California.

Gates (closest to Lot C) will open at 12:00 p.m. Canopies (top row of bleachers only) and umbrellas are allowed, as long as they do not block the view of others.

Parking is free in all college parking lots - except marked spaces. Recommended parking: Lots C (including Stelling Garage), D (South side of Stadium) & E (West side of Stadium).
