DA Volleyball Teams Earn Academic Honors

Both De Anza College women's volleyball teams (indoor and beach) earned academic honors for 2022-23 – one of only two schools from the CCCAA with this recognition.

The United State Marine Corps (USMC) and the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced on July 13, its prestigious list of USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award winners from across the country.

The award, initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale or 4.10 on a 5.0 scale.

DA's indoor team earned a cumulative 3.501 GPA, while the beach program earned a 3.566 GPA.
