SPORTS MEDICINE MISSION STATEMENT
The purpose of the De Anza College Sports Medicine Program is to provide high-quality, systematic, and holistic care to all student-athletes participating in intercollegiate sports at De Anza College.
In doing so, it is the intentions of the Sports Medicine Staff to:
(1) follow best practices in athletic training as set forth by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA);
(2) adhere to and maintain compliance with the California Community College Athletics Association;
AND (3) support De Anza College’s Institutional commitment to equity as it relates to athletic participation and medical necessity for athletic training services.
With over 400 student-athletes competing in 16 different sports throughout the year, the De Anza Sports Medicine Staff prides itself in providing the best medical care available for every student-athlete.
